Jacob has over 17 years of experience consisting of a mixture of technical and leadership roles. He has developed a security and compliance program from the ground up. He also has been responsible for architecting and implementing the entire corporate IT infrastructure for the company. He currently serves as the Director of Security at Summit 7

Jacob has a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governor’s University, and holds several certifications including CISSP-ISSEP, CCA, CEH, Security+, CySA+, DAWIA IT L3, and many more.

Jacob has GRC experience in RMF, NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 27001. He has also published CVEs, and his security research has been featured by Brian Krebs and Infosecurity Magazine. He was also named as a top cybersecurity influencer by Prescient Security.

He has hands-on technical administration and engineering experience with Windows, Linux, cloud (AWS, Azure, and GCP), and enterprise security tools such as Azure Sentinel, Graylog, Microsoft Defender for 365/Cloud/Endpoint, Microsoft Intune, Tenable.io, Zscaler Internet Security (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and more.
